quote for a new liner (it's 20 years old) is $11k. they say it includes pumping out and disposing of existing water, current liner removal, touch up work to the bottom of the pool, new foam, new gaskets, pressure testing

I am waiting for more info on which liners they use / thickness, etc.

This is the first company i reached out to, i am going to check a few more. Price seems high to me, but i can't do this myself. I do everything else for the pool so i don't really have any relationship with local pool companies, but this is outside my skillset.

Its the only way to know your local costs. Not that it's fair, mind you, just that it's what everybody is charging. :(

$7500 was the ballpark last year up here for a standard liner swap with no major rework needed.

Thats a large pool so I don’t think it’s terribly out of line - maybe a little bit high.
Get at least 3 quotes. Make sure they are apples to apples with the gauge/mil etc.
do you know who built the pool/did the last liner or have any records? Getting the OG measurements is ideal if you’re able.

Early 2021 mine was $6500 for a 20 x 40 and exterior stairs. I did not have a pressure test, but everything thing else in your quote. I also had the old alumimum coping/liner track replaces with liner track since I was redoing the decking around the pool. My pool was half empty and I did pump out most of the rest of the water (I would not guess emptying the pool would cost more than $500 or so). The also needed to measure for the new liner which was ~$250 of the total.

To me that seems high, but maybe your area and the tanning ledge is a factor.

Get some quotes and recommendation from others in your area.
