I watched a couple of videos from swim University on how to figure out which of my pipes are leading to what. But, for life of me I can’t figure these two out.

The first picture looks like some kind of exhaust pipe sticking up out of the ground. Not sure what it leads to or what it’s for.

The next one looks like some kind of inlet or drain, but no matter which of the valves I turn, there’s nothing coming out or sucking in, it’s located right under my skimmer basket.
Any ideas?

I don't know what the standalone capped pipe is. Maybe a spa air intake no longer used? Hose some water or blow some air into it & see where it comes out.

The drain-looking thing in your 3rd photo is called an equalizer. If the skimmer above it runs dry due to low water level, the equalizer will provide water to the pump so it doesn't run dry and suck air.

Thank you very much
