With the early summer and lots of heat and sun, I’m getting a lot of FC burn off.
I’m up to 80% on swg and was down to 2 FC today. Usually use bleach to fill in the gaps but decided to pick up some liquid chlorine from Leslie’s. I don’t see liquid chlorine on the choices to add for FC increase. What am I missing?

I don’t have LC as an option, but I guess 128oz (1 gallon) at 12.5% would work.
Any other thoughts?
Yup - if your liquid chlorine is 12.5% - that is what you select
PoolMath, Effects of adding should show Liquid Chlorine

Always use liquid chlorine to to bump your FC back to the top of FC target range for your CYA level. FC/CYA Levels
SWG is good at maintaining FC, not so good at increasing it quickly.

How many hours per day is your pump running?
Does the SWG produce at 80% for the entire pump run time?
If the SWG can't keep up when set at 80% with more than 12 hours of runtime, suggest you do an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test (pump on, SWG off).

And you should have way cheaper options for liquid chlorine (walmart, lowes, home depot, etc.). If you are going to get it from a pool store, I would at least get the refillable jugs from Pinch a penny.

I’ve been kicking it up 5% at a time for last few weeks. Just increased pump time from 5 to 6 hours on June 1. Never ran more than 6 hours a day.
Also just bumped CYA from 55 to 70.
Hopefully I’ll get it leveled out in a day or so. Thanks for the input!

Your pool is probably using 4 ppm chlorine daily in summer (if algae free) - with your IC40 at 80 percent, you need to run the SWG for 8.75 hours daily.

Do an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test to rule out an issues.

Never heard of the Costco Clorox issue. I’ll move pump time up and do OCLT tomorrow night. Added liquid chlorine today. Will take all readings tomorrow. Thanks again for your input.

If you have time, you can do the Overnight Chlorine Loss Test tonight.

CloroMax technology in Clorox bleach can cause cloudiness in pools. Several posts in the forums over the past few years.
Many other brand name and generic laundry bleach also have something similar in them.
Also, you don't want any added scent, splashless or anything else in it.

Pool Essentials Chlorinating Liquid (10%) from Walmart is usually a better deal at under $6/gallon (128oz).
Clorox bleach is now usually only 6% and 121oz - price at my Costco is over $22 for a three pack.
