Hello! I recently bought a INTEX Krystal Clear 1200 gph Sand Filter Pool Pump, and I set it up following the instructions but I am having issues. The pump will build up pressure for a few minutes and then shoot out in spurts. I think there’s air getting into the filter but whenever I release air with the cap it instantly comes back. I am not sure what to do as this is my first pool.

Are you sure you have it installed the correct way? I ask because I once installed one with the pump attached to the return and the filter attached to the skimmer, and it did just what you described!
Otherwise, check all your fittings and make sure they are tight. Did you lune all your gaskets?
