Possible bad micro pebble job?

Please help. I’m looking for a third party, unbiased opinion on the Stonescapes micro aqua blue pebble that we had put in. It looks incredibly mottled and blotchy, and there’s also clearly a circle imprint on the bottom of pool. Within 12 hours of adding the pebble the baja bench also started to crack all over. I immediately told our pool builder and he just said that all I have to do is keep brushing the pool and it’ll all disappear. He also said that the cracking is normal for the Baja bench. For other reasons, I don’t have trust or faith in our pool builder. I don’t know what to do next. Here are the photos 3 weeks after. Is this really what it’s supposed to look like? The sample pools that we went to didn’t look like this and I haven’t seen any posted online as uneven. I’m sorry if the photos are excessive, I’m just trying to be thorough. Thank you in advance.

It's not the worst I've seen. Some of the unevenness will go away with a couple seasons of use.

If the cracks haven't gone away by now they would concern me, but they don't look like something that is a catastrophic failure, mostly aesthetic. The sunshelf material was probably either put on dry or it just dried out since it was the last area to receive water. How long from when they installed the plaster to when the pool was full?

Talk to the material manufacturer and they will likely point to defective application (they will almost certainly not agree there is a material issue). You might be able to get the builder to chip out the sun ledge and redo it, that should be easy enough since it has a tile border.

The only practical leverage you have is payment, and to a much lesser extent the public square. If you haven't paid in full, you can use the balance as a way to get them to come redo the sunshelf.

Have you paid in full, or did you hold some back for leverage on final punch list items?
