Help with grub worms

We just recently moved into a home in April that has an in ground pool. It's definitely been a huge learning experience and we finally thought we had it all figured out. That is until we keep finding grub worms from the looks of it. Now we need help figuring out how to get rid of them completely because at this point for the last month I haven't let my kids in the pool at all. No matter how many times we shock the pool, put chemicals in, and use our robot vacuum these nasty grub worms keep coming back. I am afraid to close the pool without fixing the issue knowing that it will end up way nastier at opening. Does anybody know how to keep them away?

Good morning. Often times insects are seasonal, but there are some things we can do to help lower the amount of critter visitors. Things like ensuring optimal water testing (Taylor K-2006C or TF-Series kit) and doing some pool perimeter insecticide control.

Can you confirm which test kit you are using and post a full set of test results? I'm assuming this in an inground pool, but can you update your signature as well? See my sig and the link below for assistance. More data may help with replies.

Every one I've ever found was drowned. The chemistry wouldn't matter if they're not smart enough to know they can't survive. They're falling in by accident.

Are they the ground kind or the fall from trees kind ?

How many are we talking at once ? 2 or 3, or two or three hundred ?
