Picture attached. Can someone please inform me how this pool light fixture disconnects from the electrical going into the back, before I screw something up. I need to replace the metal ring around the niche because it is broken on the bottom where the clip on the light fits. As a result, the bottom of the light pops out of the niche. Can't remove or install a new ring as it won't fit over the fixture.

The wire goes all the way under the deck to a junction box. I’d avoid removing the light unless you’re going to replace the whole thing. If you remove the clamp and the glass lens, it may be small enough to remove the niche ring.

Give this a look it just may work for you. In my situation the top clip and screw became welded together and and unuseable, so I ended up using this pool wedge and it worked for me. There are cheaper wedges out there BUT ALL PLASTIC, the CMP wedge is stainless.

Thanks. I have a plastic wedge the local company sold me....but found another link someone one this site had posted that can fix the top of my ring and the bottom of my ring where the clip should fit. A little pricy, but what isn't when it comes to a pool (or boat....I own both).......
