I want to get a general understanding for the CYA recommended levels in a tropical climate.
My pool is only exposed to sunlight for just about half of the day.
It's fully exposed to sunlight from sunrise until about 12:30pm, and then gradually becoming more shaded until no more exposed to the Sun at around 2:30pm

Sunrise-12:30pm...Full Sun
12:30pm-2:30pm...Partial Shade
2:30pm-Sunset........Full Shade

Since FC is not being burned by the Sun during most of the afternoon...
Does it mean that I can consider having lower levels of CYA, say 50 and correspondingly lower FC levels as compared to the fully exposed to the sunlight pool where CYA levels of 70-80 are recommended?

Yes, you might very-well be one of those pool owners who can live with a slightly lower CYA since the sun's UV impact is less than others with full sun most of the day. As long as your FC consumption is reasonable, let's say no more than 4 ppm in 24 hrs, then you should be fine. For salt pools, remember one of the goals of CYA is to save the SWG some work by operating at a lower output to hopefully extend cell service life, so use your own good judgement there as it applies.

My pool is still being built.
The design lists a SWG rated at 33 Cl2/h.
I figured it's more than enough for my pool, so I don't have to run it above 50% of maximum output, preferably less.

As you may have read in on the forum, the recommendation is that the SWCG should be rated 2x your pool volume. Are you using a Chlorine gas system? See this discussion on its use, also there are other discussions you can search as well - Opinion on using chlorine gas.

What is the preferred equipment availability for pool equipment such as pump, filter, SWCG, etc. in your area?

Where are you and what seasonal temps do you experience?........that may have some affect on your FC/CYA.
Over here there are only two seasons - dry and wet. They last for about half-year each.
The local seasonal temp ranges:
Dry season: days at 90-95, nights at 60-65.
Wet season: days at 80-90, nights at 70-75

Hmm, have never heard of Chlorine Gas systems, no idea what those are.
I've listed the proposed SWG Chlorine production capacity incorrectly.
It should read 33 gr/hr

In my area the most common equipment is of the Chinese origin. But there's also a selection of other brands.
The most popular seem to be Emaux, due to its price/performance ratio and fair reputation.
My sand filter and pump are both listed to be Emaux branded.
For the SWG, in addition to the Chinese, there's also a wide choice of the Spanish (BSV, Kripsol), American (Hayward, Pentair) and Australian (Zodiac, Astralpool) equipment but most of it is either grossly overpriced and/or of outdated, questionable model variety.
I think for the SWG I'll probably be going with a local variation of Kripsol.
Not the most current model but looks to be fairly advanced and imported from Spain.

OK that makes sense. I read CL2 as chlorine gas and mainly very large commercial pools use it, but needed to verify that with you.
Good Luck with your equipment selections. Appears you have a good assortment to select but as you say, need to see what is economical and has service/technical support in your area for future needs.
