Hi. New 6 week old pool with two perfectly round sinkholes about the size (width & depth) of a golf ball I noticed yesterday.
This was a replacement for a same size older pool. Professionally installed, leveled, new sand, etc.
Do you think this is a leak, moles, wash out? I’ll get in today and test for leaks. Thanks!4BB889F3-87D2-427B-9C3B-52AB380D166B.jpegD925763C-8EED-408F-A752-870E4CE3AB75.jpeg

Where are they located ? I had one in each corner of my old pool and it made no sense how it happened perfectly like that.

Until I watched them build the second pool and they used string and stakes to make the sand level, with the stakes exactly where I had those holes. So my new theory is they cover over the stake hole when they pull it out and don't pack in the hole. The water weight does the packing and you get those divots sooner rather than later.

The size of a golf ball or the end of a shovel/broom handle … did they use a ladder 🪜 to get out of the pool?

If your leak inspection comes back clear you can try to “massage/stomp” the area with your feet or a baseball bat wrapped in a towel to lessen the divot’s borders a little. Is this an above ground pool?
