First time pool owner and member, bought home with above ground in NC

Bought a forever home with my soon to be wife that came with a 24' above ground circle pool.
Here to learn how to maintain it so we can beat the NC heat.

Just took over the cover and saw clear water with sediment at the bottom. So starting from a great place. Waiting on my test kit and getting the water level to where I can vacuum.

EDIT: Already read through pool school. Lots of good information! Got the basics of pool chemistry but will need a few more read throughs to remember it all.

You are on track so post up your test results after you get your kit.
For now once your water level is up and pump operational use liquid chlorine to raise your FC to 5 ppm to stay in a holding pattern until you can test and develop a plan.
 
Thanks for the welcome! Got some cheap test strips and liquid chlorine for now.

No longer starting from a great place. I'm finding parts around the filter that looks like they belong to the lateral array. The skimmer basket is broken and has no identifier. Looks like the pool was installed by Vogue. Their name is on the skimmer lid and the pool supports.

I have a feeling my best course of action is to empty out the sand filter and inspect the lateral array. Which is probably good the sand level seemed a bit low when I opened it for a deep clean.
