Hi all,
Asking the audience here if this situation is something you would be happy with? Seems my PB and I have a *slightly* different opinion on what a finished product should look like....
Options? Suggestions? If you have down spout tie-in you like, would you mind posting a pic?
Many thanks!

Looks pretty bad. It looks like the damage is where the old elbow connected. I would just replace that section of downspout...about $10 each. They do get beat up. I replaced several sections when I had my house painted a couple years ago. Here's a pic of one of mine. Ignore the leaf stuck in the joint.

So based on seeing these pics (thanks!) I guess my real concern is the beautiful 'teal blue' pipe protruding. The other drains are white pipe- not sure why this one is different. And yes totally agree the gutters get pretty beat up, I do plan on replacing the bottom section when all is done.

A little white paint will fix that. Maybe even use the house paint color so it matches better than “PVC white”?

Yeah, I think we all agree it was a schlock job. What's with the downspout in picture #1? Did they have to crimp and smash it in to the fitting? Or was the downspout already bent in??

Maddie ⛳ the real question is.... will Tiger show?

The teal blue looks like schedule 30 which is still crush proof but a bit thinner and less expensive than schedule 40. The price of pipe sky rocketed last year and started to become scarce too depending upon whether you are using 4" and then 6" for the lateral run to daylight or storm drains or wherever you have it ending. If you paid for schedule 40 then that would be worth checking.

The teal blue (“green”) is designated for sewer pipe. Since some is white and some is that color I bet that’s what they had in stock. It’s Probably all the same schedule and not because it was cheaper….just what was available. I know last time I picked up 4” pipe all they had was sewer green in stock.

I think that's what sewer drain pipe is, schedule 30 which is drain, vent and waste pipe. I've only ever seen it in the teal color but by no means I I'm not an expert but I needed to deal with finding extra 6" for my yard when our pool went in last year and my old pipes were destroyed in the excavation. I originally wanted schedule 40 and was told that was a bit of overkill and the price difference was substantial last year as we needed over a 100ft of it.
