Automate Dolphin Robotic Cleaner?

I'd like to be able to plug my Dolphin E10 into a smart switched outlet and use SmartThings to automate it. Unfortunately, the controller doesn't start a cycle when plugged in...are there any out there that do? Anyone ever modified the controller to automate it?

I don't believe the E10 has an automation mode, on some models you can hold a combination of buttons on the power supply to enable this mode, but it looks like the e10 doesn't support it.

Curious if you ever figured this out. I assume you could attach some kind of relay inside the control box to simulate a button press.. Maybe?

Never went further with it. I did tear the box apart and it does look like you could rig something up. Didn't try though.
