Hi everyone! I stumbled upon this form as I was googling about UV systems. (i'm now leaning towards a salt system)
Around 2003 I had a pool/spa built in my first house and then again in 2006 in my next house. The second was done by Presidential Pools the Phoenix area.
Both had salt systems and in floor cleaners. From skimming this forum I see most don't like the in floor or at least do not think they are worth the money. I was only at those first 2 houses two years each, but I didn't mind them at all.
Anyway, back to the now... I have 3 quotes/designs for the pool I want to have built ASAP. From Presidential, California Pools and a smaller company my home builder friend recommended, Cayman Pools.
One thing I do not like about CA pools is that they are the only one that will not email me photos from the plans or the layout. The salesman says he doesn't do that because he doesn't want people then using it to build their own pool. I understand that, but it puts him at a disadvantage in my eyes in choosing who to go with. I can only go off my memory of what he showed me on his computer when I was at their office. He seemed to have the most creative/cool design and overall back yard plan though.
Presidential and CA Pools both say 6-8 months for completion. Cayman said 8-9 months
Also CA Pool salesman sent me his quote on feb 3. I emailed him questions on the 11th and he said prices go up feb 20. Today I asked for an itemized quote and he raise the price from $119k to $121k and said there is another increase March 1st. So 2 increases within 30 days...
Presidential's quote is good for 30 days.
ANYWAY, I'm looking for any advice on how to choose the company to go with.
ALSO - Is it smartest to have landscaping and things like built in grills done by a different landscaping company? Presidential has a company they work with and CA does it all in-house.
Is there anyone here from AZ that has anything to say about these 3 pool companies good?
Any help/insight will be appreciated and i'll keep scanning the forum.
Oh yeah, it will be a 3' to 5' to 5' straight rectangle pool with the spa on the side. Roughly 25' x 15'
