I have a small leak in the pressure side plumbing underground near the pump and I am looking for advice on the best fix. It’s my fault, I am a dumba$$. I was tired of walking around the fence to get to the equipment so I put a gate in and whilst pounding in a post I skewered a line. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Just dug it up this morning and it is a small puncture. Should I cut it out and rejoin with a fitting (if so do I have to drain the pool below the returns first?) or is there some kind of patch (tape or glue) that can fix it? I am attaching a picture. 5139D4CE-67C6-49E7-8B4C-54E038A3A318.jpeg

Welcome to TFP! Tough break. :brickwall: I suspect you may need to repair it with a PVC loop (see clip below). You'll need to ensure you have a good, clean, mating surface on that spa/flex line. Perhaps one of our members may have other ideas though, so stick around for updates.

Thanks for the link. Is the loop really necessary? It is in a straight piece of pipe so I thought a simple coupler or even a fernco coupler would be sufficient. Thoughts? 7AC68F23-8F30-444D-A05A-39ADBA6CD5E6.jpeg54C975A7-BC2F-4F1D-92D6-A53362CA4D7F.png

Oh yeah, of course. If you can manipulate the flex pipe enough to get a coupler in there, sure. For teh black one, I know it says spa coupler, but I personally would be worried about burying that.

Is this a pressure of suction line? I should've asked that first as the pressure (or lack of) could influence which method is ideal.

It’s a pressure line. If you look close in the pic I posted you can actually see water spraying out of the pin hole leak.
