Heat Pump Leaking - picture

Heard some crazy noises this morning and found the heat pump spraying water. Looked inside and saw this tiny hose had popped off.
Does anyone know what this is and what would cause it to malfunction?
I added Orenda SC-1000 to the pool 2 days ago hoping it might help with rough plaster walls (scale?). Not sure if that’s related or just a coincidence.

Looks like that spring thing is a check valve and maybe the line that popped off goes to some pressure sensor to know when the check valve is blocking water or else some sort of bypass? Hopefully someone smarter can chime in!
