I did everything perfectly when I winterized my above ground pool and it was crystal clear. Then came a horrible storm, and things went south from there. We were planning to empty it and pack it up but now kids are asking me to set it up as the weather got warmer.
Long story short: Is this salvageable or do I need to empty, clean and fill the whole thing from start? Your guidance is much appreciated.

Algae can always be removed. We use the SLAM Process to kill and remove algae. As with most SLAMs, that will require a good amount of liquid chlorine. You can fill it up and start the SLAM Process right away, or try to exchange a little more water first which might help lower the algae content and speed up the SLAM. Either way you will need to do a SLAM and hold the elevated FC level until you pass all 3 criteria. Hopefully you have a TF-100 or Taylor K-2006C test kit as one of those is required to perform the FC testing at elevated levels.

Oh, that’s a good news. I have the test kit. Should I do SLAM before I reconnect the filter and then connect and fill the water or do some cleaning/add the filter/fill the rest of the water then SLAM?

No, the water needs to be continuously moving during a SLAM. You can exchange a little more water if that's feasible, but you'll need to top it off to do the SLAM Process. If you follow that SLAM page carefully you will do fine.

Much appreciated. I started adding water while doing the vacuuming. Tomorrow, I will be able to connect the filter and add more water so it is higher than intake level and SLAM. It is unbelievable how much mosquito larvae is in there, vacuuming those nasties right now.
