I'm trying to figure out what brand/model filter I have so I know how much media to put in because it needs to be changed. I got it used and there's no label. Does this take 2 bags or 3 and what type should I go with silica or zeo or what. Can it use any kind?
My dear Dorn4ever.....why does it need changing?? Did you put something in the pool (like Bacqua, or FLOC) which gummed up the sand?

Sand has been here for a bazillion years.... its gonna last probably another half bazillion. Love it, take care of it and it will work well for you.
Personally I'd stick with sand.... you can even give it a little top dressing with pool DE to increase its ability to capture the teenieest of schmutz.
