I was directed to this site from a friend that has been on the forum for a little while. I don't have a pool yet and after years of wanting a pool, I've finally bit the bullet and begun calling pool builders in my area to set up consultations. In general it looks like I'm looking at a 2022 pool build so I have a little time now to make sure I get things right. The first step for me is finding the right pool builder. I have searched reviews and similar to roofers all have some negative reviews peppered into an overall positive profile, I always struggle with reviews online because there is a bigger driver to post if you were disappointed vs. thrilled. Are there any recommendations for review forums for local pool builders outside of the typical google/facebook/houz/angieslist? Also if there are any members in my vicinity that want to share their experience with different pool builders both the one they went with and how it turned out and also those they ruled our or considered and reasons why it will definitely help me narrow things down as I start. I know its frowned upon on this site to speak negatively about any specific builder and I appreciate that so please feel free to send me a PM! I look forward to hearing from everyone!
