Are these bubbles bad?

So I’m getting these bubbles coming up from the deep end of my pool. It’s hard to see in a picture but the bubbles are coming up from the circular return (or whatever those things are called) at the bottom of the pool. Are these bad? Cause for concern? Are these the reason my cool cleaner doesn’t seem to want to clean certain areas of my pool floor no matter how much I adjust the valve?

That means air is getting into the system some how and it should not be. There are simple reasons for this and not so simple reasons. One of the more simple reason is the lid to the pump is not on correctly. Are you able to see any air in the pump from the clear lid? I would turn the pump off, take off the lid and clean where it touches the pump and put pool lube on the seal. See if this improves it.

Also are the bubble always there or only shortly after turning the pump on?

They are there fairly consistent while the pump is on. I’ll check the pump tomorrow and see if that fixes it. Does having air getting into the system bad? As in could it cause issues besides having bubbles?

So I went ahead and opened up the pump and cleaned out the basket and the area and I don’t think I see any air. I went ahead and attached a video that shows the bubbles in the pool better and it also shows my pump at the end after I cleaned it.

Did your pump ever fill up completely? You should not be able to see water rushing into the pump like that all the time. It will do it for about a minute after the pump has been opened but then it should be completely full with no air pockets. If your pump always looks like this then that is likely why the main drains have bubbles.

Yes it always looks like this. What should I do to fix it? Would I just fill it up with water? Is it that simple? Or am I missing something?
