Hayward pump leak

Did a search and didn't find anything recent so figured I would try this. My Hayward pump was leaking out of the top at the mounting flange. I got a GoKit and replaced the mounting gasket and it's still leaking (although a little less than before). Any tips on how to get it sealed up so it doesn't leak at all?

Yes, I thought of that too when it first started. I turned the pump off, wiped it down and restarted it to make sure. Definitely seeping from that area. That's also the area that was leaking prior to the new seal, but it was literally spraying out in a stream.

It is possible the housing has a small crack in it or perhaps the gasket was not installed properly in the seal plate.
