Moved from here Pentair IntelliCenter Review - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Hi and thanks for all the information. I've read through the entire thread. My pool is about 19 years old in the sunny Phoenix area. I have a 12,000 gallon Paddock pool. The equipment is a waterfall that does not have a Pentair pump (single speed) and was controlled by X-10. I now use the breaker! I have fiberoptic pool perimeter lighting. Was controlled by FiberStars. I now use the switch on the control box. I have a regular pool light (not fiberoptic) controlled by X-10 that sometimes can be controlled with the X-10 remote. I have a Pentair Intlliflow pump (about a year old). I have a Hayworth Chlorinator that the cell just died so now is the time to replace it and I want to switch to the Pentair Chlorinator. I did have solar heating but had the plumping at the pump disconnected due to leaks (old age). I will replace it at some point.

My main goals are to switch to the Pentair Chlorinator and be able to turn the waterfall, pool light, and fiberoptic lighting on/off remotely (Android phone). Second is to control solar heating when it is reinstalled.

I have received estimates on Pentair automation. The choices are ezTouch Lite, Easy Touch (4), or Intellicenter. I'm waiting on the quote update from an Easy Touch to an Intellicenter. Control will be through my router. I do not know how long I will be in this home. Due to external circumstances it could be 6 months or 6 years.

I have a few questions.

I'm on SRP Time of Use for Electric. High time is 2PM to 5 PM Monday through Friday. Is it possible to program the Intellicenter to turn everything off from 2 to 5 on weekdays but not on weekends? This would be to minimize electric cost while maximizing solar pool heating (when needed). I'm guessing the Easy Touch could not do this.

Can the pool light brightness be contolled (brighter/dimmer) when desired using the Intellicenter Android app. This was possible with the X-10.

I have an X-10 controlled A/C outlet at the opposite end of the pool from the pool equipment. It is working fine (on/off, lights brighter/dimmer). Does the Intellicenter have any way to replace that X-10 unit and integrate control into the Intellicenter controls/App?

Thanks!

Yes, I'm also on SRP TOU and I have my IntelliCenter schedules configured to take advantage of that feature (both summer and winter)

I can't speak to the Intellicenter Android app but I cannot adjust brightness from the iOS app or the Web-Client. Only at the System Control Panel ("Dimmer Edit Button") currently.

You must run the line voltage supply to the A/C outlet to an IntelliCenter Relay (inside the IntelliCenter Load Center), in order to control the on/off function of the outlet from the IntelliCenter Control Panel, Web-Client and Web App. If you do that, then the short answer is yes.

Hope this helps you a bit.
Welcome and all-the-best!!
