Hi
My setup is a main mechanical timer in the basement that controls all power to outside pool pumps. Outside I have another timer that's in-line for my cleaner booster pump. The outside timer is going bad, won't turn, the inside main timer is now unnecessary because this year I have installed a VGreen 165 sari-speed pump. I would like to remove the inside timer and use it to replace the booster pump timer outside but I would still like to have the ability to switch off the inside box. Can I just remove the timer and put a jumper on the inside box so I can still turnoff everything there?

Thanks

Are both timers identical? If so, just swap the internals. Then leave the on/off cogs off the one in the basement. This will allow you to turn that one on/off manually. You can even disconnect the timer leads from it - it will basically be acting a manual on/off switch. Install the good one outside and program to run your cleaners booster pump.
