33ft oval AGP in central Oklahoma
I purchased my house on November 1 of last year, so with everything going on, I left the equipment outside when closing the pool. Everything worked fine come Spring, but this year I want to redo the entire setup. To start, I want to store the pump and filter in my shop. Most of the closing videos I've watched have worm-gear clamps on the hoses that are easy to remove. I have what looks like flexible PVC glued or screwed in place.
Based on this pic, does it look like the fittings from the pool to pump, pump to filter and filter to pool should unscrew? Since I see threads on the outside of the connections, as well as "repair" connections in the middle of the flexible PVC, I'm worried these are glued in place.
Am I opening a can of worms by cutting these connections?
Next year I want to add a shutoff valve between the skimmer and the pump and possibly between the filter and the pool return.
I also need to add a weatherproof cover to the electrical outlet and hopefully a pump timer.
Any advice, tips, comments before I start tearing into this would be great.
