Plaster Question - Whats going on??

I'm not the expert here - hopefully one of them can chime in with more info - but we had our plaster done in Quartzscapes Barbados Blue (not reflections) about two weeks ago so we're on a similar timeline. What you're seeing sounds like what people here call "mottling" if you want to search for that term. And from what I understand is not too uncommon especially with darker colors and can be affected by several things including the actual original mix of plaster from the plastering company as well as the application process by them.

There are other things post plaster that can cause affect it, but if you've done everything you were supposed to do and the chemistry is good then it's more likely something in the plaster itself or the way it was applied and might be something to talk to the PB about. Of course if your PB is anything like mine, it's probably not something you'd expect them to do anything about unfortunately.

We haven't had a lot of mottling on our finish, but there are a few spots or small streaks that do appear slightly lighter than the rest of the finish - nothing major or anything someone else would notice but since it's our expensive pool, we can pick out ever little discrepancy.
