Been a member since we bought this house and this forum has saved me a ton of money. So I hoping you can help me with this dilemma
We had a clear pool and then recently threw a party with probably 15 kids Day or two after that the pool starting to look not as clear so I ran my tests and decided to slam. What preceded was we would pass the overnight test however we would find green build up on the bottom of the pool.
FC 12
cc .5
cya 30
ph 7.5
TA 70
Ch 50
next morning
FC 12
cc. .5
there would be build up of greenish substance on bottom. I would vacuum off.
4 days ago investigating the pool we had low water skimmer was sucking air. A patch we put on failed and we were losing water. Patch was replaced and water was added back in.
I let fc fc drift down below 10 to get new numbers after this. Then I returned to SLAMing pool.
the pool has gotten progressively greener in the last few days. Even though I was maintaining shock level
By testing morning and evening and bring pool back up to shock level. It now is as green as when we opened it.
Any thoughts
