I have had that happen to me as well. I am guessing some derbies is getting stuck in the flapper. It hasn’t been a major issue. My bigger issue is it gets stuck by my staircase a lot so I need to figure that out.

Thinking about installing the skimmer, but what do you guys do for storage? Last year I rolled up the liner as best as I could and thinking I would maybe have to remove this before storing? If you remove do you do anything to proct the liner etc where you cut the hole?

Looking at various items online it looks like maybe the cork gasket was for the older 1090 vs 1091LX? Did the box say a model number?

The only issue I have so far is it does get stuck on my staircase I have in the pool. I can't blame intext since it is not an intex staircase. Guessing if you have nothing in the pool it would work fine going up and down the walls.

My guess is the mesh filter between the sand filter and the vacuum isn't helping the PSI either.

One other issue I noticed (maybe the same with the old unit) but my sand filter shows about a 5-7psi increase when using the vacuum. So I am going from middle of the green to bottom of the yellow. Just having the attachment i noticed maybe 2-3 psi increase and then adding the vacuum another...

I finally setup my pool and tried out this unit for the first time. This was my first time with a vacuum so not sure what to expect but it definitely climbs the walls. Will have to see how it works with a solar cover on.

I have a 18x48 Intex the outlet jet is already a 1.5" on mine. The two inlets are 1.25" but my original pump came with a T plunger to accept both 1.25" and convert to a 1.5". So Kept them as is with a skimmer on one of the inlets. Seems to work fine the skimmer on the sand filter never has...
