    KC Area Plaster Work

Been through that process before. That's not a fix for us and they also insinuated a price that didn't sound very economical even if it was a fix. Just looking for someone who could re-plaster what we have.

    KC Area Plaster Work

Anyone have a KC area plaster guy they could recommend? We've got an old hybrid and it's time to refurbish it. We've got a plan for the walls but probably need to address the plaster as well.

    Hybrid Pool Walls Question

So would any fix of the plumbing line require concrete somewhere be torn out and replaced? There is only about 4 feet of water in the pool right now which only covers a small portion of the deep end. If the leak is below the water level then it has to be covered by the pool or deck, right?

    Hybrid Pool Walls Question

So I turned off the hose before the water level hit the height where the concrete and fiberglass come together. The pool has lost about an inch in 5 days (we've had 3 inches of rain as well). So it looks like the pool guy is 0-2 on diagnosing the source of the leak. I called him back and...

    Hybrid Pool Walls Question

Trouble Free Pools, We decided to delay any major reno or building a new pool for a few years if possible so we could save up. The pool was losing what we though was a little bit of water so instead we decided to just get it cleaned up go for another year with it. When the pool guy came and we...

"Hybrid pool" (fiberglass walls with cement bottom) - anyone know about these?

Re: "Hybrid pool" (fiberglass walls with cement bottom) - anyone know about these? We have an old hybrid pool in the house we just bought. I thought these were a thing of the past based on all the research I've done and I've had to do a lot. I can't tell you about owning it, but I can tell you...

    Tear Down/ Re-Build Question

We have an old hybrid pool and after months of research and help from this board the conclusion is there isn't really an ideal solution to fix it. Basically to fix it we can go cheap and paint it while acknowledging this won't last long at all, or pay a substantial amount for one of only two...

    Another Hybrid Pool Question

When I hear cutting the deck it sounds like the vinyl liner may not be a cost effective option either? I was hoping this was a viable option at less than $10k. If we do this then we can't simply decide 5 years down the road to ditch the liner and go with a more expensive option because of the...

    Another Hybrid Pool Question

Can someone re-explain why I can't just re-plaster the concrete and install a vinyl liner just over the fiberglass walls? - - - Updated - - - Also not sure if I ever had anyone respond to the question about doing a full vinyl liner as an option. Plenty in here say they can do it, but two of...

    Another Hybrid Pool Question

Maybe this should go on the general board, but has anyone gone with the inter-glass option for a pool renovation. They have an impressive list of references from corporate clients, but I can fine shockingly few discussion online from residential customers which has me concerned that we're the...

    Another Hybrid Pool Question

Quick update. So the AquaBrite guy says he spoke with his manufacturer and that they don't recommend them to do the job because of the blistering on the walls. I don' t really recall much blistering but he said there was plenty of it when he checked it. So apparently that is no longer an option...

    Another Hybrid Pool Question

Thanks all. The AuquaBright guy came out last week. He says they did a hybrid near here with great results last year but that our fiberglass walls were in a little worse shape. He was connecting with the original manufacturer to see if they thought the walls could withstand the heat created...

    Another Hybrid Pool Question

Had not come across AquaBright yet. Intriguing after doing some research. I Googled "What does thermo-polymer mean" and the answer meant less to me than the actual question. What is the surface it produces? Also, and maybe this isn't a question I should be asking, but with each "suggested" fix I...

    Another Hybrid Pool Question

Hello TFP, We bought a new house with what we now know is a hybrid pool in the KC area. I've read through the threads on this board and they've been very helpful, the problem is I can;t find anyone to deliver what I believe needs to be done. The pool is covered so I can't attach pics, but the...
