Create spill line between pool and old spa?

Yes. That’s the same thing I do. About once a week we drain spa into pool and refill otherwise we get chemistry issues. I would like to avoid this and if I put a simple overflow between spa and pool I can run it In very low spillway mode via automation every day and eliminate the manual...

Create spill line between pool and old spa?

Yes the equipment is shared and valved. Easytouch panel. It’s all plumbed properly. I guess my main question is if it’s okay to dump the return end into the skimmer. I don’t really see why not. I’m leaving the pool alone so this is really the only way for me to do it.

Create spill line between pool and old spa?

Hello folks, So I have an oddball situation with a separate pool and spa that share the same equipment. There is no spillway. The spa waterline is about a foot above the pool. It works okay but needs a lot of Maintainence. Water changeovers in the spa are a manual affair and a Pain. The spa...

"easy" touch system has me stumped... pool/spa valve logic?

Good idea... The relays would work, although I think I'm out of relays on my ET4 to control them. I have been messing around a bit with connecting the valves to the A/B positions rather than pool and spa. It seems to have some more flexibility. The reality is I spent a bunch of money on an...

"easy" touch system has me stumped... pool/spa valve logic?

Yes, That seems like how I will do it... So much for automation. Ironically one of the reasons I got this system was so I could have it help with the manual water changeovers we do every month or so (separate spa). EG schedule it to pump out to pool for 5 minutes then back into spa for 5...

"easy" touch system has me stumped... pool/spa valve logic?

Right? It's insane! I could have probably knocked out a raspberry pi interface that could do all of this and more in the time I have invested... there are more steps to programs than there are variables!

"easy" touch system has me stumped... pool/spa valve logic?

Okay. Got the screen logic hooked up. At least that was easy. My question is still sort of the same. Let me talk specifically about my example. Here is what I want: 1. A daily schedule that runs the spa at low speed for cleaning 2. An ability to turn the spa "on" eg heat on and pump rpms...

"easy" touch system has me stumped... pool/spa valve logic?

I think I understand... Im going to hook up my screen logic and go from there. Seems WAY more intuitive. THANK YOU for your explanations and patience.

"easy" touch system has me stumped... pool/spa valve logic?

Okay.. So just so I understand the overall logic (or lack thereof)... I cannot call a feature directly (via schedule or a button)? So I need to set the pool to switch to spa (or pool) and then apply the feature to that to make any changes?

"easy" touch system has me stumped... pool/spa valve logic?

Thanks Jim... Yes I figured the spillover setting might be too literal in this case! So do the names "skim high", "spa low" etc determine where the valves are sending the water??

"easy" touch system has me stumped... pool/spa valve logic?

Pool and spa water don't mix... It's an old setup. Thus I need to run a low speed cleaning cycle in the spa! Soooo.... I guess I could define the SPA setting as low speed and then have a feature which will bump the speed and crank the heat? It is inconceivable to me how this system was...

"easy" touch system has me stumped... pool/spa valve logic?

To be clear... I do not have a spillway. The spa is isolated from the pool. So the valve logic for the spillway will just dump a lot of water on the ground ; ). What I want is the spa circuit to run at low speed with no heat on a schedule...

"easy" touch system has me stumped... pool/spa valve logic?

Wow. Thanks for all the fast responses. 1. We will have screen logic. This is a renovation that won't be complete for a few more months and for various reasons it's not practical to install the screen logic right now. We would like to have the pool equipment running properly and thought that...

"easy" touch system has me stumped... pool/spa valve logic?

Hello all. First post from a long time lurker. I have been programming my easy touch system which has been anything but easy. I have computer and automation programming experience and this system is beyond illogical. I am trying to use 'features' to drive a low speed spa cleaning schedule...
