    I think I screwed up.

Good morning everyone. Everything is still looking good with the pool. I added the algaecide & MetalX yesterday. I'm hoping we keep the green in the wallet and not the pool now. Thank you all for your help. Kristi

    I think I screwed up.

Very interesting... I woke up this morning to a clear pool. It did rain quite a bit last night #s: Chlorine: 3.0 PH: 7.4 I'm guessing the lowering of the ph and chlorine had something to do with the "great disappearing green tint." Or, is the stain beginning to redeposit on the pool...

Great Jason Lion! Thanks for your reply. To follow up, I need to keep my chlorine on the low end of that chart and keep the ph no higher than 7.2 for about 2 weeks, correct?

    I think I screwed up.

I decided to use the AA because I tried a sample on the pool stains and they instantly disappeared. PS store and the bag's description said AA can remove stains from leaves, dirt, etc., along with metal stains. I get a lot of cedar needles in my pool so I thought they may have caused it. There...

    I think I screwed up.

I had no metals in the pool according to numerous pool store testings. I got to the point that I didn't care what it was, as long as it was gone. It was starting to look bad.

Thanks for your response! TA: I'll go test. I didn't read the instructions on TFP first. That was my FIRST mistake. Added AA when chlorine was 7. I thought the PH was too low at 7.2 I personally like to keep it higher. I read the instructions, and honestly, I thought that the instructions...

    I think I screwed up.

I should have come to y'all first. I didn't realize what I was getting myself into. I had some staining in my pool probably due to organics, and I used absorbic acid to remove them. I didn't add algaecide to my pool, because I'm BBB and don't need it...or so I thought. That's just one of the...

    Whats behind the name?

I love this thread-- Mine is vejadu which is the name of a Jimmy Buffett song and a twist on the word dejavu. I use it here and on the Fuselage, a forum dedicated to the show LOST. Otherwise I'm known as bknlcj which are all the initials of my hubby, myself, my kids and my dog. You can call...

Galion Ohio...Twins drowned in neighbor's pool

I just got back from a long road trip and couldn't believe the number of those store-bought round pools I saw sitting in people's FRONT yards--no fence--nothing. It's an accident waiting to happen. That is just not smart!

    My cooker and my pool...

This is such a good thread that I've always wanted to try cooking a pork shoulder this way. Is the time the same for a bone-in shoulder? Is there an need to brine the swine?
