    Do I need to replumb?

The IC-40 probably needs cleaning. Calcium build up can cause a low flow read.

    Pentair Intelliflo Pump Priming Alarm

I have a friend who says that his Quad DE is plumbed directly to the filter. He has no way to backwash the filter, but he doesn't care since he always breaks it down for cleaning. The fittings attached to the filter are called bulkheads. The nuts attached to the valve are called bulkhead...

    Pentair Intelliflo Pump Priming Alarm

Your filter has a push pull valve. It can be used on both a DE filter and a sand filter. A side mounted sand filter's inlet and outlet ports are opposite those of the DE filter's ports. So the ports must be plumbed accordingly for the filter to work properly. The Quad DE's inlet and outlet ports...

    ic40 salt level calibration

I've had mine for 2 years, and had 1 replaced under warranty for low salt readings. Seems like a common problem to me. Just check this board to see how many people have low salt reads with the IC40. My current one is again reading very low salt, although it's not low. Salt just doesn't...

    new pool Petaluma Ca

I'm not familiar with the make up of the rolled roofing, but does the trailing edge of the roll have that same black mastic that you find on asphalt shingles? That black mastic is what holds the leading edge down of the over lapping layer. So with the asphalt shingles, you turn the first layer...

    New Intelliflo - Poor flow/circulation

What happens to the water level in the pump basket when you switch the suction to draw from the spa? If the pump basket fills, the problem is on the pool side. If the level stays the same, the problem has to be at or after the diverter valve on the suction side. If its on the pool side, maybe...

seeing a bubble from skimmer every 30 seconds

I believe that the 2 caps in the skimmer with the hose attached between them is a tool that enables you to test both the lines from the skimmer. If they're both capped and not connected you'd only be testing the line that goes from the skimmer to the pump. So they connect the 2 temporarily with...

Intelliflo died; looking for cheap replacement.

That communication cable ran from the pump to the Intellitouch Control Center. I disconnected it from the pump to check the terminals and they looked OK. So I plugged it back in and tightened the locking nut, and the LED's come back on. Now the pump runs fine. The locknut must've been a bit loose.

Intelliflo died; looking for cheap replacement.

The LED's went out on my pump, but it was because the communication cable was loose on the pump side. My indoor panel read "No Communication".
