    Where to go from here?

Centrifugal switch was the culprit. The springs were stuck. I threw a little wd40 on them, and its running now. Thanks, guys!

    Where to go from here?

My brand new pump I installed last year is having problems. It's run fine since installed last summer, but Tuesday evening, when I went to turn it on (manual-no timer) it just hummed for about 3 seconds then cut off. It does this every time you try to start it now. Did some searching and found...

    o.k. to swim? Just shocked.

Thanks, guys. Yes, I passed the OCLT test from Thursday night to Friday morning. FC was at 36 about 10pm on Thursday night and still 36 at about 8am Friday morning. FC as of this morning was 23, so I'm guessing that's due to the bright, sunny, 95 degree day we had here yesterday. CC has...

    o.k. to swim? Just shocked.

Hi all, I ran a search on this topic to see how soon after shocking you can return to swimming. Based on what I've read, it looks like it's safe to return to swimming once your FC is below shock level. Here's where it gets foggy for me: Based on this chart I was referred to for shocking...

Water coming out of the backwash/waste hose

Possibly. I can take it off again and look for something that points toward a proper alignment. If that was it, would it spit out the backwash righ as soon as it started up?

Water coming out of the backwash/waste hose

Well, scratch that. After about 30 minutes it started pouring out the backwash hose again. I'm at a loss here. Any help is appreciated. I dont understand how water is getting to the backwash hose with the multiport in filter position. I looked at the spider gasket and its perfectly fine.

Water coming out of the backwash/waste hose

Sorry...that was autocorrect as im using my phone. I took it apart o check the spider gasket and it was good. I think I found the problem was that all the screws holding it together were not tight at all, sonindont think it pushed it down to make a good seal on the gasket. I put it all together...

Water coming out of the backwash/waste hose

Well...I am the builder lol. The multiplier came already assembled. All I had to do was put it on the filter and clamp it down per the instructions. Not sure what to do or where to look at this point? Could it be anything related to pressure? My pressure is at about 20psi at normal

Water coming out of the backwash/waste hose

Hoping someone can help me. My pump and filter are brand new, everything was just installed this past weekend. Starting this evening, when i'm in normal pump/filter mode, was starts flowing out of the backwash/waste hose. I turned the pump off and back on. It filters fine for about 15-20...

Need some help - filling pool up from empty

Didn't know that about Louisville water lol. I'm officially in shock...more so than I thought. I think I need to lower my pool size in the pool calc. What it said would take me to 28 FC actually took me to 40! Good news is it was 40 when I added it this morning at 10am and is still at 40 here...
