    Spa blower is too hard

Thanks. I had a feeling that might be a problem. I took out the 2.5 HP impeller, diffusser and replaced them with a 1.5 HP version which did bring the flow down. I didn't replace the motor and I assume that might be an issue. What do you think of putting a ball balve below the blower and...

    Spa blower is too hard

I have a 6' raised spa on my pool with a Air Supply 1.5 HP blower. The spa has six jets and it blows WAY too hard. The spa vibrates bad and water bubbles out. How can I slow this down? Is the blower a two speed or do I have to put a 2" ball valve in and throttle some of the flow?

    Anthony & Sylvan Experiences???? Good.....Bad...Whatever....

My nextdoor neighbor used A&S and I wasn't impressed. I thought the attention to detail was fair at best. It took over two months to build this small pool with no spa. I used a local builder and was very happy. I would definitely get a spa because you use the pool year round. Be careful with a...

    New to Forum

Bigdawg, where are you getting your grill, sideburner, etc? I was going to start my kitchen this month and use BBQ's Galore Turbo grill, but they closed their doors here in Houston. I checked Ebay, but most are DCS or FireMagic and they are too much $$$ for me

    Spa thermal balnkets

Can anyone recommend a thermal blanket for a spa. We live in Texas, but like to use the spa in the wintertime. I have a 400K BTU heater, but still takes forty-five minutes to heat up. I'm thinking if Ican throw a floating thermal blanket on it, it might take only thirty minutes or so.

    What's the best flagstone sealer?

My builder sealed our flagstone coping and decking with a gloss sealer. It had the "wet" look and looked great for about six months. It started to fade and they came back and did it again free. The product they used was called "Diamond Super Clear" I think. It's only sold at masonry stores and...

    considering backyard kitchen...advice welcome

Hers's what I did. Before we started pool build, we decided where the outdoor kitchen will be. I had the PB stub out a water line, drain for sink, gas line and electrical conduit. When I start my kitchen this fall, everything is right there.

Pool house, cabana bath - Ideas needed

Here's what I did. I had the PB rough in plumbing for a 6'x10" cabana off the side of my house. They tied in a 4" toilet and sink drain to the sanitary that the DE filter uses and also tied the water supply from the line that feeds the pool fill line The slab was poured with the decks and I put...

    Polaris problem

My buddy just bought a ranch with a small, fiberglass in-ground pool. The Polaris 280 had been working fine. I went out yesterday and it was barely moving and listing on the side. I took it out and made sure all the swivels were tight and everything seemed OK. Put it back in and it did the same...

How do I get the white haze off my tile?

I have brown water-line tile and it has developed a white haze. I sprayed a 50/50 mix of water and acid and scrubbed with SS brush and it helps, but does not get all of it. What can I do to get it off and keep it off? Thanks TD

    New to the BBB method

I just started on the BBB method. I'm just about out of trichlor tablets and should I continue to use them or just balance it with acid, bleach and baking soda? The place I get my water tested is pushing the Bioguard Silk tabs and Poollife multi-purpose tabs

    HELP! Pool is hot!

Hello from S. Texas! I have a one-year old pool that is in full sun until about 6:00pm. The water hits 90-94. We like it around 85-88F. Is there anyway to cool this down? I have a waterfall and someone suggested running it all night. Thanks for any suggestions
