I can’t send video for some reason but leak is out the bottom of this mpv port. Tried tightening nut but didn’t improve situation and I’m concerned about over-tightening leading to a broken fitting

Bought my house 5 years ago and can only assume pool multi-valve was new then (can’t be sure). Looks like I’m leaking at bottom waste-output piping. Tried tightening the big screw but to no avail. Is 5+ years about par for the course for these things? Next step I guess will be to disconnect...
