Once its below the skimmer, what's the best way to keep draining?

We did inherit the pool, but I made it worse by not understanding the connection between chlorine and cya. I was mega shocking with granules and using dichlor tablets. Everything I put in was jacking up the cya. So happy to have this resource. Thank you very much.

You are correct...it is about 180-200. Keep emptying and refilling the pool?
