    Master temp Heater miswired?

Thank you. Not the first error this installer made, he had the Intelliflo’s power tied to their respective relay load side as well. Old school, just didn’t understand this newfangled (not) automation I guess.

    Master temp Heater miswired?

While troubleshooting a heater issue (since solved) I noticed that the 240 VAC for the heater was wired to the load side of the relay which controls the SWG. I don’t think this is right, because if a schedule is not otherwise running, once the EasyTouch comes out of spa mode, power is removed...

    Considering a Glacier evaporative cooler

Thanks, I appreciate the comment. As only a portion of the flow is bypassed through the chiller, should the 3-way be partially closed, in order to direct most of the filter pump’s output through the returns? What do you think?

    Considering a Glacier evaporative cooler

Really? I am an engineer , I read manuals, and know the experts are usually the ones who designed the system. But I want to know the hows and whys and the trade-offs. I guess I still do not have a good understanding of the system, as in this case, after the 3-way is a ball valve that seems to...

    Considering a Glacier evaporative cooler

As a preface, I’ve pored through all the chiller threads, but would still appreciate any advice from all you knowledgeable contributors…. With the combination of daytime temperatures regularly above 100-105 degrees F, and covering the pool at night or when away, I’m finding the pool...

    3 Intelliflos on an EasyTouch

Thanks for your comments Jim. Circulation pump runs normally at 2300, freeze mode is set to 1800. Jets pump normally at 3000, and 1800 in freeze mode. But for an unknown reason, only one of them (can’t remember which now, problably the circulation) stays at the normal speed. Haven’t looked...

    Dogs and pool

It took a while, but we trained our water loving Golden Retrievers to stay out of the pool without permission. Permission is granted and indicated by throwing a toy or tennis ball into the pool, then game is on. They are pretty good about it, but its not something i trust. So if we can't...

    3 Intelliflos on an EasyTouch

@Jimrahbe I saw your comment on a thread about Intelliflo "I have three 3 HP IntelliFlo pumps and they have been running 24/7, mostly at 1200 RPM. One is over 10 years old, one over 8 years old, one right at 7 years old. They are all powered by Pentair GFCI breakers and they have never, not...

What did you do to your pool today?

With a stretch of dry weather coming, I decided to open the automatic cover to verify that there still is a pool under there. But before that, some housekeeping - we live in the desert, so sand blows onto the cover. I can blow much of the sand off with a sand blower - i mean leaf blower, but...

    Spa Blower Question

David, this is just my experience, i don't know whether others experience the same. When i fire up the jets on my spa, i don't get a lot of bubbles. I then turn on the blower, and then i get a LOT of bubbles - almost too much, so then i turn the blower off. Which then results in a "just...

    Screen Logic Networking Issue

I ran into the same issue trying to configure ScreenLogic behind my Google Mesh system. I had to use the web client running on a computer to do it. That interface provided the “configure IP address “ function. Right now I am traveling, so, unfortunately cannot provide more detail. Perhaps...
