Richard, I am a complete dumb *****!! YOU ARE THE MAN! Wow! That...Is...Embarrassing... Problem solved! Why would it stick now? Should I put some tube lube on the top where the weir contacts to prevent further sticking? Funny thing is I consider myself very handy and would laugh at someone that...

    HELP One skimmer Sucking air????

Ok here it goes, I have an in ground gunite pool here in south Texas. Its about 6 years old has 2 Skiimmers and 2 main drains and auto fill. First off the water level is normal, and I run all 4 pump intakes IE skimmers and Drains open. Well this morning my wife comes in and says something is...

    High Acid Demand...Low TA??!

Ok so I added the baking soda for under 10 bucks. That saved me about 18.00! I'll recheck the TA tomorrow. I guess having a SWG I'll just be a BB guy.

    High Acid Demand...Low TA??!

My wife shops for groceries so I honestly can't say how much 10 pounds of baking soda costs, and I don't watch the price is right enough to know. I didnt think 15 pounds of the pool store Alk control was that expensive. I'll bet the difference in price isn't more than a couple of bucks, but...

    High Acid Demand...Low TA??!

I've added ALOT of acid this summer because of the sprayers raising the PH. Which dropped my TA...so is there a pro vs con using the baking soda vs Alk control sold at the pool store? The calculater has me adding around 10 pounds of baking soda...

    High Acid Demand...Low TA??!

Ok so after further reading I now realize that adding borax will not raise my TA. So I have to solve that problem first. I have a feeling the amount of aeriation from my sprayers is the cause of a low TA? The water temp has been high so I've been running my sprayers mounted under the coping in...

    High Acid Demand...Low TA??!

Here's the Numbers: FC 2.0 TC 2.0 CC 0.0 PH 6.8 (I just added acid this AM) Hardness 190ppm TA 40ppm (I know this is the culprit for the acid demand) CYA 65ppm (alittle low) no metals.... I guess my big question is, should I go with the 20 mule borax to raise my TA or go with 15 pounds of...

    www.poolbids.com

I actually usd them and got 3 bids from builders. First guy was so-so second I really liked and 3 was not as good as #2. I went with #2 and he was excellent! See-Blue pools of Montgomery. He drew out the plan on the spot and was very personable. I had a bid before he left. He provided references...

Ok, I've NOT been impressed with the Phantom so far. It gets stuck in a corner and now it just spins out all the time.. I had it out of the pool for 2 months stored flat in my garage like the book says. Today I put it back in the pool and it won't stop spinning!!! I checked the cog? that makes...

    Rust spot in newish Plaster?

Ok, so my pool is about 10 months old. About a month ago I noticed a small rust spot on the wall above my deep end swim out, just about 12 inches below the water line. I've called the builder and he's supposed to get out here but hasn't made it yet....Imagine that(being peak build time of...

    How many hours?

I'd have to agree with Jason, it's all about turn over time. I used the 1 hour per 10 degrees last year and that was fine. this year I scaled back my run time by about 2 hours because of my pump and filter performance and have crystal clear water still. I certainly don't see a need for a 24-7...

    Hayward Colorlogic light is flashing???

That was my thoughts when I spoke with the folks at Hayward. I saw the price for the whole unit was just over 400 bucks... Even if its still covered within the first year, what happens next year?? I'm hoping this is just some fluke thing, with LED lights I thought they would last forever...
