I’ve had my Pentair rebel since we had the pool redone in August 2021. The rebel has worked fine until recently. It stays in the deep end. I’ve tried everything—replaced the tires, the left drive shaft, and even purchased a new one! Same issue. Even with the new one. So it’s got to be something...

No buttons were pressed. It happens when it comes on in the morning. Not sure what “disconnect heater from automation” means. The only automation I have set is the pool pump coming on in the morning, turning off at the end of the day and the perimeter lights coming on at night.

I’ve had the Pentair ScreenLogic system for three years. All of a sudden the pool heat will come on by itself upon startup in the morning. Can anyone tell me why this would start happening after 3 years? I’ve not changed any of the settings or schedules.

Oh I see. The pavers were set about a month earlier. This happened right after the plastering. Like super noticeable. I would have noticed it if it would have happened when pavers were put in

These look just like them. Do they shot blast the old concrete just before they do the plaster? I just know that they used a jackhammer thing to get rid of the old plaster, right at the beginning and it was stripped down to the concrete. I’m wondering if they do some fine tuning with this just...

Thanks for all of your replies! Yes, at first I thought a piece of machinery broke and that’s why there were hundreds of tiny beads. I had the PC come out and take a look and he basically shrugged his shoulders. There was also some kind of black stuff on a few of the pavers which he replaced...

They are embedded in the plaster

Not bbs. they are not perfectly round.

I do still have some embedded in the polymeric sand joints. I took pics of them. Also took a pic of one of the spots in the pool. If you look real close, it is an actual “pebble” that is rusting.

No. We don’t use any fertilizer nor have we had any landscaping done where someone else would have.
