    SWG Not Generating Chlorine

Thanks JJ! We've been doing that every few days, just to maintain the pool in swimable condition. Last week we even brought it up to 16 to SLAM. We've just about cleaned out the shelves at Walmart.

    SWG Not Generating Chlorine

For the past several weeks, our pool has been losing FC at 2.0 ppm per day. We have been running the SWG 12 hours per day ay 80%-100% output, with no effect. The pool has been very well balanced, is perfectly clear, and does not lose any chlorine at all in the overnight hours when pump is off...

Is it OK to install a rechargable LED pool light on the stairs of my spillover spa?

It did, but it doesn't fit the returns on my spa. It would fit the returns on my pool...but spa is a different set-up.

Is it OK to install a rechargable LED pool light on the stairs of my spillover spa?

My spillover spa was installed without any lights. (Who does that??) I have tried various floating lights - just not happy with effect. I just purchased a rechargeable LED light (Main Access Smartlite Underwater LED Light). The mounting bracket is to be installed to the step with four small...

Thanks James! We'll check that out.

Heater Automatically Turning on and Changing to Spa Mode

Our Pentair Mastertemp HP heater (installed 2017) has become possessed. Over the past week, it started automatically shifting to spa mode and setting the temperature to 272 degrees, or something crazy like that. We re-set all the temperature settings, but it seems to shift back to spa mode /...

    Heater Tripping Circuit Breaker

Thanks all! Tried it again later in the day, and all is well. Not sure what was tripping the breaker, but seems to have resolved itself.

    Heater Tripping Circuit Breaker

We just opened our pool a few days ago and turned on the heater for the first time last night. This morning we noticed the the circuit breaker had tripped. After a couple of retries to start, we confirmed that the heater is tripping the breaker. Water temperature was 55, and air temperature...

What's with the large white clumps on my pool?

The lumps appeared before I added the Washing soda, and disappeared after. I am wondering if the temperature of the air and the pool water (mid 50's) also factored into the unusual chemical reaction. As Marty said, I think it must be some form of calcium that got reabsorbed back into the...

What's with the large white clumps on my pool?

OK. I'll re-test tomorrow -or whenever its stops raining - and see where we are at. Hopefully the TA didn't go back up too far. If so, I'll turn on the deck jets for a while to aerate.

What's with the large white clumps on my pool?

I typically follow the Pool Math Calculator directions to a tee. However, my TA was very high at 140, and the tool did not indicate that I needed to do anything to lower it. The tool did however indicate that I should add soda ash or washing soda to raise the Ph, which was at 7.2. I knew I...

What's with the large white clumps on my pool?

I poured white vinegar on it, and it fizzes up like an alka seltzer. The ones I left in the pool seem to have dissipated after I added 2lbs of washing soda. Very strange. Third year pool owner and have never seen anything like it.
