It is a pool wall. The interior is pool, the exterior is what your see. At the top is a shadow, then the Limestone coping. Over the top of the coping you can see the pool water and then the other side of the pool.

    Water Leak on Retaining Wall

Dave, Sorry, I forgot to post the questions. But you answered. The wall is a retaining wall for the pool it is 4' out of the ground. I will look for the bucket test. I assume I can ignore the builder's comment that the staining is normal.

    Water Leak on Retaining Wall

My brother-in-law has this water leak / staining with his pool. This is a new build has had water for about a month. He was told this is normal. I don't think this is Ok, but I am not an expert. The water stain / marks are opposite a jet to the pool. Here are my questions:

White Stuff pile in hot tub?

Hmmm, if they are stabilizer granules, I wonder if I could add them to tap water and then test for the presence of CYA?

White Stuff pile in hot tub?

I drained half my pool and added 8,000 gallons to refill. I cleaned my Filter, added DE, and have gotten my chemistry close to where TFP recommends: FC: 9.5 pH: 7.5 TA: 150 CH: 450 CYA: 90 CSI: 0.30 Just yesterday, I noticed an accumulation of "white stuff" in my hot tub. It is no DE...

    Help - Newbie

I do not plan to drain and refill for a while I do NOT have a SWG. Am I reading the CYA/FC chart correctly? The chart says my FC target level is 10 -12. However, when I read about FC above 10, many posts on the internet say it is not safe. Will my swimmers complain with FC above 10?

Well Dang!. The actual CYA after draining 1/2 way (about 8,000 gallons) and then refilling ended up at 90-100 I was surprised the FC dropped so much and I did not expect the pH to go up. The TA ended up close to predicted and the CH actually was better than predicted. I just added 1/2 gallon...

Armed with accurate chemistry values, I draining my pool to get the CYA under control. At first, I thought I would have to drain 2/3 of the pool, but it appears I can drain 1/2 way and end up with a CYA value of 67. Any thoughts?
