I've been watching those videos too. The monopour looks cool but it sounds like you need someone who really knows their concrete to pull it off. He makes it look so easy though.

I haven't seen much talk here about ICF pools here. Are you doing a liner or plaster walls? I'd love to see pics of your progress so far if you have them.

I don't think we've seen an ICF block build detailed here so that would be good to see. You're going with no main drains and I'd like to hear what some of the pros think about that. With a concrete pool in Houston I wonder if the water table is high enough that you may be at risk of popping the...

I think I've seen you mention this before. How much skill does it take to mix these ingredients on-the-spot in your hopper? What is the blend of Portland cement to vermiculite? It seems the premade mix would be easier but if this is real way to get it done right then I'd like to learn more. :)

How do you plan to shape the hopper with all that rock there? I'd love to see pics of that when you get to it.

The pool looks great with the lights on, @Snoobug. Looks fully luminated. How many lights is that (and what kind)? Does the floor look good under those lights?

Is it good enough to find someone who has dug for gunite pools before or is that a different kind of dig?
