I'm willing to try it. I'd rather do that than have a cracked brittle liner. I would NOT recommend anyone using the magic eraser on a vinyl liner about the water line for this very reason.

It will also take the color out of the liner if you use in one place for too long.

Yes, I don't which came first, a hole in the liner which lead to rust behind the liner or rust behind the liner that lead to a rusty hole in the liner. THanks...

You're right, the water level is too high. The rust has gone through the liner into the wall of the liner, you can put your finger in there and it feels crunchy.

How do you think I should go about fixing this? We bought the house in 2005 and the previous owner didn't have any vinyl samples left over. Thanks in advance..

I have bubbles in the pump basket when the filter basket is in. I don't know what made me take it out and try it but I did and well, no bubbles. The filter basket is free of clogs and little rocks.. I tried the hose dribble thing with all the the connections..no difference. This might be kind...

That's great information. I saw them (on the news) dumping in powdered chlorine which I'm assuming is stabilized chlorine. I wonder what their CYA is now. They said today that the pools are closed indefinitely. Thanks for the info.. now I feel like a smarty pants about poopy pools. :wink:
