PB in Austin that will do SWG?

We didn't push to hard but the only thing they told us is that they would not warranty the stone work. I think I saw the document too stating it was stone work only but I could be mistaken.

PB in Austin that will do SWG?

My understanding is that Cody Pools would have done it for us, just would not warranty the stone coping. So if your husband is fine with the stone piece then that shouldn't be a problem. Now the part about not trying to sell you on UV/Ozone, no promises there... All PB's try to push or sell...

Out with the old (Farmers Branch/Dallas, TX)

At least here in the Austin area it is for sure the PB's pushing back against it. I met with probably 6 pool builders and none of them wanted to build a salt pool. The ones that would build them had waivers to sign and would not warranty stone coping. Another wanted to put in a really...

    Thinking about Plaster for new-build

    Can you elaborate?

Which one? Pebble Sheen Blue Surf or Blue Granite

We didn't go see a bunch in person but looked at a lot of pics from the PB. We opted for Blue Surf to get the more blue color on the shallow areas, tanning ledge and bench. The PB had Blue Granite in the showroom pool and it was very gray on the shallow areas whereas the Blue Surf was a lot...

    New Build - Chlorination Options

Thank you for that information. This builder built our last pool so I am comfortable with them. Regarding each individual line item pricing, none of our quotes were returned with a price for each component. I was shown the pricing when working with the designer but I honestly don't remember...

    New Build - Chlorination Options

They install the EasyTouch as a base option and that is their price to add intellichlor. I know it cost much less but they didn't budge when I squawked. Unfortunately at that rate I would have to have complete failure twice to even benefit from the warranty

    New Build - Chlorination Options

This will be our second pool. They haven't started layout yet. Pool should be ~16,000 gallon pebble sheen gunite and variable speed pump. On our first pool I setup a stenner pump to use liquid chlorine. This worked well however there aren't a lot of places to buy liquid chlorine here...

    New build in central Texas

If you don't mind me asking (sorry if I missed it), is this an OB pool? Is that google sketchup you used to make the design?

Salt or Chlorine--info from builder has me scratching my head

Thank you. Good information here on the CYA as it relates to pucks. I don't plan to find out as I will install my Stenner as soon as the PB is done. Good thread here though. I am sure the info on UV is good but of course way over my head :)

Salt or Chlorine--info from builder has me scratching my head

I already have my Stenner bought. Just waiting to install it once the the PB is done with me. I don't plan on finding out myself :)

Salt or Chlorine--info from builder has me scratching my head

Yes, exactly my thoughts. Just hard to believe that all of them are explained by user error and pride. My sampling isn't large though so I can't say that. 10 weeks is very aggressive to say that every pool would be out of spec in 10 weeks. I also have to wonder if that was the case why more...

Salt or Chlorine--info from builder has me scratching my head

lol :) Good points. I am guessing either errors reading the test or the above pride or a combo of both... Thanks for the discussion on the subject though, helpful...
