Not too big... So I talked to a local pool service guy and he gave me 3 options...replace the gasket $100...replace with a refurbish pump $300 or replace with a new variable pump $1000-$1200...what do you guys think...

No spa...I have no clue why they installed a 2hp...maybe two waterfalls?

Thanks for the responses...the pump is about 8-9 years old....do you guys think it's more cost effective to replace it?..I'm thinking if I get it fixed I would still need to replace it in a few years...

A few days ago, I noticed that there is some kind of oil coming from the back side of the motor. I see an oil stain on the concrete right below. Is the motor going bad? I took the cap off and I can't seem to locate the leak. I will take a picture tomorrow.

hello all...i have to replace my bottom manifold and filter cartridge...being the cheap *** that i am...i ordered online with free shipping....wont be here for a week!!!...what can i do to maintain the pool in the mean time...temperature here is about upper 70s...thanks in advance...

Hello all...today I decided to clean my hayward cartridge filter and found out that my bottom manifold cracked...I just ordered the part...my filters also need to be replaced....any suggestions on the brand...would the cheap ones on ebay do?....it's the hayward c5025.....the pool will be off for...
