Where is the Fire Switch on a Jandy LRZ Heater

I recieved an answer from Jandy. The one wire goes to the remote POOL input on J6, and the other goes to the remote COM on J6. I then set the heater up for a remote Thermostat (TSTAT) in the SETUP menu on the heater. The manual has this setup info on pg 24. This should close this thread...

Where is the Fire Switch on a Jandy LRZ Heater

I looked all over the Install manual and could not find where to tie into the Fireman Switch. The HiPress/HiLimit looks easy enough to do. I'll try to re-wire on Monday. Thanks for the help!

Where is the Fire Switch on a Jandy LRZ Heater

I just installed an Intermnatic Multipurpose Control (IMC) model P1353ME, which has the Fire Switch Relay for cool down before shutting off the pump. After looking at the schematic for the Jandy LRZ Heater, I used the wire going from the ignition control to the flame sensor as my Fire Switch...

Vinyl Install - Use Foam Backing or Not?

I will be installing a liner soon, and the kit I bought came with a roll of foam and some adhesive. I have since talked to a few pool pros in the area, and they never use the foam between the wall and the vinyl. My question is: What are the pros and cons of using the foam wall backing? Any...

    Skimmer Installation

I am installing a Waterway Large Mouth Skimmer in a new IGV pool. Should I use a silcone sealer on the gaskets that touch the metal walls? What is the best way to install a skimmer? Are there any tricks or tips that the installation manual does not disclose? Or should I just follow the...

    Fiberglass Step Jets Installation

I am in the proscess of building an inground vinyl pool with fiberglass steps. I read in other posts that the water movement can be an issue in the step area, and have decided to put in 2 returns. My question is where do I buy these returns? I have searched the internet and have yet to find...

New Pool Construction - Questions about pipe dia and Suction

Matt, Thanks for the info. That helps a lot. I noticed that I should have a check valve prior to the chlorinator. What type of check valve would you use? Any advice is great. Thanks

New Pool Construction - Questions about pipe dia and Suction

Thanks for the info, Mark. So should I adapt from 1.5" to 2" right at the pump, or should I let the 1.5" go straight out the 10 x diameter of 2" pipe, and then adapt? Or does it not really matter for quietness and efficiency...

New Pool Construction - Questions about pipe dia and Suction

The Manual has a table, and rates the pump at 50.76 GPM with 1.5" pipe. I figure that the inlet is 1.5 inches with this model, so this would be the max this pump will handle. Is this the correct way to think about the pump? Would I get a rated 75GPM by adapting the 1.5" to 2" at the pump...

New Pool Construction - Questions about pipe dia and Suction

Re: New Pool Construction - More Questions Thanks for the help. I didn't even think about regulating the skimmer suction from valves at the pad. I will certainly go with 2" lines as much as I can. I will search for the info/discussion about the Return Line on the narrow part of the pool...

New Pool Construction - Questions about pipe dia and Suction

Hello Everyone, I am very new at this, and have been talked into building a vinyl pool for my wife. We have purchased a 16 x 32 vinyl pool kit, and have recieved almost all of the parts. I have been studying how to plumb the pool, and have noticed that many folks like the 2" lines for this...
