I will definitely ask for clarity regarding the motor drains and a water feature pump. It is interesting to see how different PB plumb for hydraulics. We’re not opposed to having drains, just need guidance to the pros and cons of each setup. Thanks for your insight. It was helpful.

I am in Creekside Park. It’s the south part of The Woodlands which is located in Harris County. Glad to see a lot of fellow Houstonians on this forum.

Thanks for the great advice! I currently have flagstone as part of a stone column on my outdoor patio and it has chipped apart...and that’s without a pool. So I know to stay away from flagstone. We do plan to leave room on the equipment pad to add a chiller later on if the need for it arises.

@spd500, @Jimrahbe, & @JJ_Tex Thanks for your feedback. I knew most builders would not recommend it, but hadn’t heard about having to sign a waiver to add it. @Jbrillo Good to know there is a builder nearby that doesn’t discourage it. I may PM you for info.
