2-year-old Pentair Intelliflo Noticably Louder (Video) - Should I be concerned?

Thanks again Jim. I will check the fan to rule that out. If it's not that, which I have my doubts about, do you think bearings is the next likely culprit? And if the sound is bearings, is that something I should just wait and see what happens? I would imagine repair for something like that...

2-year-old Pentair Intelliflo Noticably Louder (Video) - Should I be concerned?

Thanks for the reply Jim! I wouldn't think the fan would have an opportunity to "touch" anything but then again I haven't ever tried to locate the fan. Is it exposed in any way or fully enclosed?

2-year-old Pentair Intelliflo Noticably Louder (Video) - Should I be concerned?

I have a Pentair Intelliflo that's about 2 years old. I run it 24/7 on 1400 rpm which has worked out very well so far. I live in SC so not brutally cold weather in the winter. I became very accustomed to how it sounded, which was very quiet at low RPM. It has now become quite a bit louder...

Help identifying? Green stuff coming back every couple days after vacuuming

Catanzaro, As for circulation, what are my options (if any), now that my pool is already built and large concrete deck poured, to improve my circulation? I only have one skimmer, two jets and two main drains. Wondering if there's any way to do it without busting up deck?

Help identifying? Green stuff coming back every couple days after vacuuming

Catanzaro....thanks for the advice. I do not have jets in my steps so I will heed your advice. I guess my only question at this stage is how would this algae be able to thrive since I have a SWG and have always kept FC at appropriate levels?

Help identifying? Green stuff coming back every couple days after vacuuming

So I was at 5 FC last night after sunset and 3.5 this morning before sunrise. I guess since it's >1 drop in FC, I can conclude that I have something actively living in there consuming chlorine?

Thanks...good advice. I will do the overnight chlorine test tonight and see what it looks like in the morning.

Help identifying? Green stuff coming back every couple days after vacuuming

We've had a perfect pool to this point, but have my first battle on my hands with this stuff. Hoping some expert eyes can help me identify what this is I'm fighting. Chemistry looks to be in good shape I think: FC = 6 pH = 7.5 TA = 75 CH = 100 Salt = 3600 I have a SWG and have run my pump...

Feeling slight electrical current in pool...bonding seems intact. Thoughts?

Hi everyone... thanks again for all the great input I have received. I just wanted to give a couple updates on my troubleshooting. Forgive me if I already mentioned it, but I did turn off the main breaker to our house and was still able to feel the current. Last night I bought a 6-ft piece...

Feeling slight electrical current in pool...bonding seems intact. Thoughts?

All I am aware of is the ground wire that I recall them running around the entire pool before the concrete deck was poured. It was attached to both step rails and the ladder and then connected to a metal rod that they put in the ground by the equipment pad. Is that a water bond?

Feeling slight electrical current in pool...bonding seems intact. Thoughts?

I wish I understood more about electricity =/ So how would the scenario work if my neighbor, for example, was the source of the leak. How would I feel that current in my pool?

No, I didn't think of trying that but will give it a shot tonight.

Feeling slight electrical current in pool...bonding seems intact. Thoughts?

So I have an update on my troubleshooting.... although I wasn't really expecting this outcome. Last night, I first made sure I could reproduce the issue with both of my breakers (equipment pad and light) to the pool turned on as usual. I felt the usual tingle if I was wet, sitting on the pool...
