My pool won't hold ANY chemicals! NONE! HELP!

We aer We aerated overnight with the returns pointed at the surface and our pH went from 6.8 to 7.4! I am amazed by how well that worked! Thanks!

    That looks pretty good! Thanks!

Yes we have well water, so we had to truck in. It's $350 per 6500 gals. The company says it's "artisan water" so I guess our pool is extra fancy now ?

Our TA is 140 now, but we'll have to check again after the water swap. This may be silly, but how do you use an air compressor to aerate? Just point it at the water and wait? Lol Where do you get soda ash?

My pool won't hold ANY chemicals! NONE! HELP!

After reading all of the responses (thanks so much!) here is what we've decided... Drain and refill one more truck of water Increase pH SLAM Does it matter what order we address the pH and SLAM? We don't have an aerator and only 2 returns, so we don't think that will be enough to raise the...

My pool won't hold ANY chemicals! NONE! HELP!

Sorry, I don't think I was clear on my first post. We already did a drain and refill which has brought our CYA down to 80. We are debating doing 1 or 2 MORE trucks to lower the CYA further. Also, how do you recommend aerating to bring up pH? Just run the system with the returns pointed at the...

My pool won't hold ANY chemicals! NONE! HELP!

So after MUCH debate and about a 50% drain and refill of our pool (done yesterday) we are thinking about just riding out the season with our manual chlorine system (if able with our chemistry) instead of switching to SWG (we think.....) Current numbers: FC: 0 (haven't added any yet) pH: 6.6-6.8...

Changing to SWG with bad chemistry water

Water is crystal clear. SLAMmed at opening...then all heck broke loose haha. The water delivery company opens tomorrow. We will call for ASAP delivery and retest. I see you have an SWG system, any recommendations on brands?

Changing to SWG with bad chemistry water

Our manual chlorine pool took a serious dive in its chemistry this season upon opening and we need to do a large volume drain and refill. The main culprit is a super high CYA, dilution tests averaged around 200. It's making it impossible to control any other levels. After some reading on other...

My pool won't hold ANY chemicals! NONE! HELP!

We have considered switching to a SWG system during this whole process as well.....thoughts? We thought about it when we first moved in, but now this this overhaul we are thinking about it again.

My pool won't hold ANY chemicals! NONE! HELP!

Our pool liner hasn't been in great shape since we moved in (we estimate it to be 10-15 years old). We were going to hold off on redoing the liner until we redo the whole patio, but at this point it makes the most sense to do the water and liner together. Thanks for your help!

My pool won't hold ANY chemicals! NONE! HELP!

I did the dilution sample tests (multiple dilution strengths) and the average CYA is 200. Given we have a 22k gal pool.....looks like we're pretty much doing a full drain and refill. Does that sound correct? We've already called to schedule a water delivery, but with Covid circumstances they...

THE RESULTS ARE IN! We received our Taylor test kit- here are the results you've all been waiting for ? FC, CC (FAS-DPD): both 0.5ppm CYA: so unbelievably high there is no numerical comparison.....so I attached a picture below. We also repeated this twice to be sure pH: too low for a numerical...
