Found the O-rings. Were in a separate bag. That item makes sense now.

What you colored in green. That's the black piece in my video that gets tightened onto the integral pipe of the pump's basket housing. I just don't get what principle it uses to be watertight.

Got this no-brand pump I need to test out. Mainly I have two questions: 1. What parts do I need to install this? I think I need the below. Pipe image below so you can see what fits snugly into the adapter (but only into the inner half of it; see attached video in zip file)...

Do you think there would be issues with the ring because it's not genuine?
