New pebble sheen - startup question

thank you Davis, I live in Texas. This is a new redo, pebblesheen. It hasn't rained much since they install it a week ago. When the pool finished filling I tested the water and CH was 120. Now is 100. I have heard that I don't have to worry abut CH for now until peeblesheen cures completely. I...

New pebble sheen - startup question

Thank you Kimkats. I read liquid chlorine (bleach) adds salt. Pebbletec instructions says not to add salt for the first 28 days. I guess I'm better off to start introducing the chlorine to my new peeblesheen redo with the Trichlor tables, watching CYA. Once pool is stable (after 28 days). I'll...

New pebble sheen - startup question

Thank you Catanzaro. I have added my signature. I just checked water levels. Why is recommended to introduce chlorine, tabs or liquid bleach. I have heard that tabs will slowly add the chlorine and that is what we need with new peeblesheen. Need advise and what to do next. FAC 0 TAC 0 ph 7.4 TA...

Fixing hairline crack in gunite pool floor

how you end up fixing the cracks?

    Chiseled crack

PB says that pebble tech will fill it and cover it. I'm a new pool owner, don't know how strong pebble tech will adhere to a crack like this and if pebble tech finish will crack later. Or if the crack shape will show over the pebble tech finish. Anybody out there with a similar situation?? does...

    Chiseled crack

other thing that worries me is that for some reason the crack is getting wet at the bottom part near the water line that has accumulated at the deep end of the pool. It was a sunny day today and crack dried but the bottom part got wet/humid again. why?

    Chiseled crack

I had a hairline crack in new gunite floor (about 4 ft long). PB chiseled it out to see how deep it was. Fortunately it was only superficial. My question is, what would be the correct way to refill it before pebble tech. Do I ask PB to patch it with hydraulic cement? with elastipoxy? cold joint...
