    Conflicting CYA tests

Why don't you try a sample of your pool water with no CYA reagent in the sample and see if you can fill the view tube up without obscuring the dot. That will give you an idea if the cloudy water is affecting your result. It's just a thought and it may be worthless, but it doesn't cost you...

    Conflicting CYA tests

I'm going to throw my 2 cents worth in really quickly. You mentioned in your OP that you had algae and were wondering if that could interfere with your CYA dot test. If your water is cloudy at all it will interfere with your ability to effectively perform the CYA test.

    CYA dissolving and other balancing

I was wrong about the Ca in a heated pool you can bring it on up to around 250ppm. Also found this post about adding Ca to your pool. CH – Calcium Hardness Calcium hardness can be raised with calcium chloride or calcium chloride dihydrate. They are available in some areas as Peladow...

    CYA dissolving and other balancing

The Ca will not hurt anything I just do not know that it is necessary, even with a heater. Other folks who have heaters on their pools may be able help with that. If you want to add Ca it is fine to dissolve it in water before adding it to your pool. I'll do some research on the Ca thing...

    Opening pool, testing TA

Do you have a full set of Test Results? There are a number of things that could cause interference with you TA and PH testing particularly FC above 10ppm. It is easier to help if you know what you are dealing with.

    Opening pool, testing TA

What is you PH running now? I think I would bump the PH up to 7.4 or so then work on the TA. TA will be easier tp manage once you get your PH right.

Keeping adding chlorine according to Pool Math but can't reach SLAM level

Also with a variable speed pump you might want to kick it up some while you go through this process at least 70-80% speed. I don't have a VS pump so others that do might chime in on that.

Keeping adding chlorine according to Pool Math but can't reach SLAM level

Just curious but are you running your pump continuously and brushing your pool after the chemical additions? Robot will do the same as brushing.

    CYA dissolving and other balancing

Why are you adding Ca to a vinyl pool? You are at 125 and that is fine for your pool type.

    New SWG - salinity fluctuation

It may fluctuate some but should settle out over time. Mine will still swing a little from time to time, but I don't rely on my RJ-60 for my salinity I use my Taylor K-1766 for that.

Help! High chlorine and high PH

With your FC at 11 it will give you a false hi PH reading. Ignore the PH until FC is below 10.

    Air bubbles inside liquidator

Can you shoot another short video of the OUT side to wherever you connected it? You should see the bubbles entering the tubing and be able to locate which connection it is.

    Air bubbles inside liquidator

Just check all of your connections on the out side of the liquidator and make sure the tubing is seated good in each fitting. Look at your tubing too. If it is cut at an angle it may not seat good. Try to square the tubing off if you can. When you seat the tubing into the fittings push and...

Quick question about FC levels with the liquidator?

With the liquidator would I expect to be able to hold the target FC level lower (as with a SWG) since the FC stays more constant? or is that just for the SWG's for some other reason?

    Air bubbles inside liquidator

In the beginning I had lots of small air bubbles in mine too, I assume from filling. After a few days these should dissipate with very few bubbles in the liquidator. If you see air bubbles in the tubing try to determine which connection is leaking. Any air leaking into your system should be...
